ABOUT PEACE OF NATURE

Peace of Nature 108 was created with one thing in mind... becoming one with nature through 108 mala beads & meditation.

OUR story

It was late 2014 when Jessica's boyfriend, David, began his path to become one with the Earth.

A 25-year-old self made artist, David took his ambitious spirit and big dreams all the way to Wynwood, and began his journey to find his true self.

While discovering himself, David explored everything that was available to him. Most nights he stayed up reading books and learning everything he could about spirituality. He fell madly in love with meditation.

Throughout this time, Jessica went on living her everyday life working a retail job as an Operational Manager. Seeing how exhausted she always felt, David made constant attempts to get her to embrace his laid back lifestyle, but Jessica refused.

During a trip to Wynwood, Jessica had seen and felt the lifestyle David embraced. There was an unexplainable magic about the calmness she felt at that moment. It was at this time that she finally decided to explore this new world.

In a matter of days she learned everything she possibly could about mediation, mindfulness, spirtuality and malas. Jessica loved it. She gathered rusraksha seeds, rosewood beads and looked for the most beautiful gemstones she could find. Making malas was her art, her freedom, her spiritual connection. She finally understood David's creative spirit as an artist.

We named our company Peace of Nature. Our mission to inspire people to live more peaceful lives, while spiritually becoming one with nature. We want you to find your true-self , be proud of the journey you are on, embrace your spirituality and know that you are as precious as the gemstones you are wearing; your very own "peace" of nature.

Why 108?

The number 108 is a spiritually significant number. There's a reason why...

Heart Chakra: Chakras are the intersections of energy lines in the body, and there are said to be a total of 108 energy lines converging to and from the heart chakra. One of them, sushumna leads to the crown chakra, and is said to be the path to self-realization.

Upanishads: It is believed that there are 108 Upanishads, texts of wisdom from the ancient sages.

1, 0, and 8: Some say that 1 stands for God or higher Truth, 0 stands for emptiness or completeness in spiritual practice, and 8 stands for infinity or eternity.

Desires: There are said to be 108 earthly desires.

Time: Some say there are 108 feelings, 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and the 36 that are related to the future.

Planets & Houses: In astrology, there are 12 houses and 9 planets. 12 multiplied by 9 equals 108.

Goddess Names:  There are said to be 108 Indian goddess names.

Sun & Earth: The diameter of the Sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth. The distance from the Sun to the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Sun.

What are Mala Beads?

Mala beads are meditation necklaces that have been worn for thousands of years by yogis and spititual seekers from all over the world.

The term "mala" is a Sanskrit word for "meditation garland". Originally, mala beads were used for a special syle of meditation called Japa, which translated means, "to recite".

They were first created in India over 3000 years ago; mala beads have roots in Hinduism, Buddhism and yoga.

During Japa meditation you repeat a mantra softly, 108 times, using your mala beads to keep track. A mantra is a word or sound repeated during mediation to help you concentrate.

PEACE OF NATURE malas have 108 beads, made out of rudraksha seeds, sandalwood or rosewood, as well as other natural semi-precious stones. Some of our malas have one guru stone made out of a healing crystal, while others have a guru bead and a tassel (as shown).

How to cleanse your

mala beads

Mala beads absorb energy and need to be cleansed regularly. There are a handful of ways to rejuvenate your mala beads. Pick you favorite or experiment with a few of them to see which you like best!

Sunlight & Moonlight: Leave your mala beads out in direct sunshine or moonlight for a couple hours.

Sage: Burn a white sage stick or lose sage leaves near your mala so that the beads and stones absorb the smoke.

Sound Vibrations: Chant a mantra near your mala or use a device such as a Tibetan Singing Bowl or Tingsha Bells to create a purifying sound vibration.

How do you use mala beads?

Mala beads can be used in a variety of ways to help you manifest and achieve your dreams and desires.

Start by giving your mala an intention or mantra. If you've never done this before, login/signup to check out this article on how to set intentions.

Once you've given your mala an intention you can use it during your meditation practice to keep you focused and on track.

Wear your mala around your neck or clasp it firmly in your palms as you tune in and focus on your breath. Wear your mala  during meditation and/or yoga. You can place your mala beads on the corner of your mat and use them as a focal point during your practice.

Is yoga and meditation not really your thing? It doesn't have to be. Simply wearing a mala can help you feel good and manifest what you're looking for. Some of our mala beads are fused with healing crystals and gemstones that carry special and specific energetic properties that can help you attract and repel certain feelings, thoughts, and emotions.
